The Prime Minister is freeing up millions of GP appointments across the country as he progresses the Primary Care Recovery Plan.
From early next year patients will be able to get treatment for seven common conditions directly from their pharmacy, without the need for a GP appointment or prescription.
Common ailments such as earache, sore throats or UTIs will be able to be treated faster and without the need for an appointment with the doctor or a prescription.
Plus, women will no longer have to speak to a nurse or GP to get the oral contraceptive pill - it will be available direct from their local pharmacy.
These changes mean that more GP appointments will be freed up for patients, and the next time you want to see your GP, you should be able to do so quicker.
