Plympton Erle Councillor Terri Beer distributed 350 hand delivered letters to residents in the area of the proposed gas plant in Valley Road, Plympton, which prompted 37 objections from local residents against the proposal. Terri was concerned that proposed gas plant would affect the area with noise and pollution. Councillor Beer attended the meeting of the full planning committee on 13th December so she could speak against the proposed plan on behalf of local residents and was joined at committee by a local resident who lectures at Plymouth University,Dr Sabine Lengger. Sadly the Labour Party members used their voting majority to support the plan to allow the scheme to go ahead. Terri Beer said, " I felt that minds were made up before I had the chance to speak. This is not the right location for such a plant as it is in a high density residential area." Residents have said to Councillor Beer they are angry that once again Labour Councillors ignored them”
